Parapluie are offering a free webinar during March to Interior Designers to highlight the impact of Anti-money laundering legislation now in place in relation to purchasing art for clients and the legal consequences of non compliance. Did you know that anyone purchasing art on behalf of clients is legally required to register with HMRC as Art Market Participants (this can apply to Interior Designers) undertake training and retain policies on how you are dealing with anti-money laundering legislation. There is also a requirement to run clients through an approved anti-money laundering check system if an artwork is over 10,000 euros or currency equivalent (this can include multiple purchases that make a total of 10,000 euros).  If you are sourcing art for clients you need to be aware of this.
